Broad Beans
Carbon Footprint (CO2e/kg):
1.55 kg
Tips:
When buying, look for green pods that are firm and crisp without too many blemishes (some browning is fine).
If you’re looking to eat them whole, select broad beans that are young and small (the size of your palm).
If you purchase large pods then you will need to “double pod” them: remove the beans from the pod and remove the outer casing from the individual beans.
